I’ve been struck lately (this whole year actually) by the realization of how fast time is flying by. Leaves, light, and the life all around me, each changing quickly from one moment to the next. Everything fleeting along with the moments themselves. With that in mind, I’ve tried to notice as much as possible and attempt to capture some moments, even if inaccurately.
- 10/1/11 – I looked up high to the top of this birch tree and saw what looked like shiny gold coins dangling in the breeze and sparkling in the sun. I went back later to take this picture and the light had changed, but I still wanted to remember the moment.
- 10/1/11 – Looking out my window today (dark, cold, rainy) is a stark contrast to this bright day 2 weeks ago. It’s a reminder that “time keeps on slippin’ into the future.”
- 10/6/11 – I remember being surprised that this particular type of hosta was still in bloom. The stems are nearly bare now.
- 10/6/11 – Not sure this really captures what color this tree actually was at that moment.
- 10/8/11 – This leaf looks a bit like it was tie-dyed to me. I wonder if leaves are like snowflakes. It seems as though no two are exactly alike.
- 10/11/11 – I am out on this path nearly every day, but couldn’t believe the fluffiness and depth of the leaves right then. It’s like I could have comfortably taken a nap there.
- 10/14/11 – I knew eventually the long stretch of warm, sunny days would have to come to an end. It’s a cold, wet, and dreary day, but still there are interesting things to see.
